GRAND JUNCTION, CO –June 6, 2019 –Låda Cube, a tech building company, received funding as part of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) Advanced Industries (AI) Accelerator Grant Program. A committee comprised of business, technology and finance experts, and industry-specific reviewers, selected Låda Cube from a pool of startups spanning across the aerospace, information technology, energy, medical devices and biotech industries.

Låda Cube, which is focused on developing, manufacturing, and building demountable/modular wall systems, will use the grant award to advance a new version of futuristic reusable walls, plug and play electrical systems, and semi-automated manufacturing. Låda Cube wall technology was invented in Grand Junction, CO by John Fay, and has completed projects with companies such as Tesla Inc. and WeWork among other leading companies. In working relation with Sidewalk Labs, under Alphabet Inc., Låda Cube will be included in the Master Innovation & Development Plan to build the city of the future in Toronto, CA.  This report will be released June 2019.

As construction innovation has fallen behind, productivity in most every manufacturing category has outpaced it four-fold over the past 20 years. Disruptive and cutting edge offsite building technologies like Låda Cube are moving in to close this productivity gap. Globally this is a $1.6 trillion opportunity that will be realized by creating construction products exactly in the same manner that Henry Ford revolutionized the automotive manufacturing industry.

The Låda Cube approach addresses these complexities plaguing traditional construction including, speed, wastefulness, and inconsistencies in budgets. At Låda Cube’s core is a set of robust interface elements that support reconfiguration, reusability, extreme levels of customization, and quick manufacturing turn-around. Låda Cube’s solutions include high level, industry leading sound absorption for use in retail, residential, and any business' needing innovative solutions.

The Economic Development Commission approved twenty-four Colorado companies to receive Proof-of-Concept and Early Stage Capital Grants for a total of over five million dollars. "This award represents a very valuable validation for our company and our role as a leader in developing innovative products since part of the award process involves in-depth scrutiny by an extensive expert panel," said John Fay, CEO of Låda Cube. "We are grateful to the State of Colorado for this opportunity and acknowledging our impact within Colorado.”

Låda Cube is honored for the opportunity to engage in new business to continue to accelerate the world’s transition to reusable, demountable and environmentally friendly new constructions options. We believe that the world is ready for more efficient building technology and Låda Cube is strategically positioned as a leader in this movement.
